June 21-24 Sheridan Youth Civic Leadership Camp
YMCA of the Big Horn
s

On behalf of the Center for a Vital Community at Sheridan College, we are proud to offer this unique leadership opportunity. The mission of the second annual Sheridan Youth Civic Leadership Camp is to engage youth to strengthen their school and the Sheridan Community. Participants in the program will develop skills such as communication, conflict resolution, team building, and civic engagement.

The aim is to collect 24 eighth graders representing diverse perspectives to understand the opportunities and challenges of young people in our community. This camp will be beneficial, but I can also tell you, it will be fun. We are working with community leaders who also represent different areas of work and expertise to bring opportunities that will be interactive, engaging, and interesting to our students. Participants will develop friendships, enhance their thinking and communication skills, and help us to identify ways young people impact and make a difference in the vitality of our community.
